This workshop focuses on Musical Theater Performance, and the art of performing a Contemporary Musical Theater Song! Each student gets to work on 2 contrasting contemporary Musical Theater songs! The workshop culminates in a Showcase for family and friends, where students can perform their work! This workshop will focus specifically on shows written between 1980 and the present, in order to prepare students to audition for shows with a more contemporary, modern sound. Each student leaves with 2 songs handpicked for them that showcases their abilities as a performer! We will work on both songs in their entirety as well as prepare cuts from the songs that can be used for auditions! The workshop ALSO includes a special talkback with cast members from Bring It On: The Musical! |
